LIFE IS GOOD BUT BUSY!
Well, it almost Halloween. The kiddies are counting down the days. I remember my teaching days and how much fun it was to have a Halloween party in class. Yes, lots of work and a huge clean up but it was such fun. I always went all out decorating my class, right down to a cardboard coffin and a skeleton in it covered with cobwebs. The kids loved it!! I do miss the children and the fun we had but I am just not able to keep up the pace of 30 plus 8 and 9 year olds. Plus the work load is immense...oh, the stress. I almost have a panic attack just thinking about it.I have been working non-stop since Monday. My girlfriend came over and we put the first coat of lavender paint over the very dark green walls. Even with the first coat it looked great. The next day, Tuesday, I did the second coat...wow!! Wednesday, I painted all the doors and frames and gave the window a good cleaning. I also started to put things back in the room. Hubby re-installed my hanging rods last night so I can put all my clothes back today. I will also finish getting other things back, pictures up, jewellery holders up etc.. I will not be putting my curtains up until I get them dyed. They will be a deep purple. I have to wait for the dye to arrive as my sister in Ontario got it for me. It will be here next week. I am also dying my light cover. I will post before and after pictures when it is done. Well, it won’t be completely done. The carpet, really ugly, will have to stay until the new year...budget restrains!!I had my first weigh in at Weight Watcher’s on Tuesday. I was scared to step on the scales for fear that I had gained or it was like a half a pound. I had lost 3.6 pounds...yippee!!! I have set my first goal as losing 16 pounds in eight weeks. This corresponds to our cruise date. So I now need to lose 12.4 pounds in 7 weeks. This seems like a reasonable goal if I am a good girl. This is for Naomi’s curiosity. She has asked how many pairs of footwear I own. I did a rough count and it is around 77 pairs. Well, gotta run, stuff to do. Everyone be well and I will get to your journals as soon as I can. Debbie
