Life is good

I had a wonderful night out with my landlord tonight. He's really an alright guy. We went to a few houses to do some work. I got to do a little plumbing, a little electrical work( Which surprised the shit out of me. I've always been afraid of anything electrical, but I did it alright, and in the dark at that.) I'm going with him again tomorow. The best part was that we talked a lot. i really enjoyed talking with him. He was an alcoholic too for many years. He hasn't drank for about twenty years, but we got into some really good talks. I had a good time, and I made forty bucks. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday night. I bought Lil Jimmy a Whiskas dinner, and me a liter of choclate milk and a big bottle of Coke. I've been mostly drinking water the past couple of days because things are a little tight, and this taste so good right now. I also got honest with Georgette today about drinking after she left. I didn't really feel good telling her, but I felt I had to. I still have that old fear that things won't go right telling the truth. Anyway, it's done. So what if I'm not perfect. I'm an alcoholic that is learning to live, and somtimes it can be hard, but I'm doing it. I might get knocked down a bit at times, but I get back up. Sure is better than years ago, and I didn't pull everything completly down on me this time. That is growth. Like Alex told me, I have to start patting myself on the back for the accomplishments that I have made. I accomplished a lot in those seven months, and I'm not going to beat myself up about anything. I learned from it. I have to watch for those overwhelming feeling about being useless and no good. I think I'm a good person, and people tell me that often. Drinking I know I'm not. I seen Nancy tonight. I tried to just walk by but she said hello. I just can't do anything there. She just keeps going out. I'm sure never going to do what I did for Trish again. I seen her tonight too. Just a hi, and keep on walking. They really don't want help, at least not tonight. Perhaps tomorow. Thank you, Lord. Thank you.
