life is full of lessons

I've had a good morning. I heard from an old friend who asked me how life was going.

I replied with a message in part that was 'life's an adventure and there's always new lessons'.

He replied very much in favor in always having lessons to learn.

I was so glad to hear that, and it's really true.

I'm thinking of my own issue about choosing a direction to steer myself towards in life.

I can have an inkling that I like something about that direction.

Then fear or anxiety might dictate that I should feel or be completely bullet

proof about endeavoring something new...expert before I start....and a fear of relying

on my mind, which can be unpredictable in it's perfomance.

In reality though, invariably I need to be ready to receive and be open to receiving the lessons life serves.

It's a message that comes to mind today and feels very important for me to remember

...and it takes the pressure off. It also

makes me able to handle the dynamic of change and new learning, at least at the present moment,

so that it's encouraging me to try new things.

On the one hand I can see why some autistic people like jobs that are very repetetive in some cases.

I am not sure if I am on the spectrum or not (I wouldn't be surprised if I were)

but I am mindful today of the healthfulness of being ready to learn new lessons

in whatever I decide to do.  I am also mindful of the fear of it too.

It's a calming relaxing thought. Peace for a good day!

bullet proof. . .
reminds me of the old engineering axiom that anyone who believes in "fool proof" design has greatly underestimated fools.

perhaps we can adapt that axiom to say, "anyone who believes in "bullet proof" has vastly underestimated celestial snipers."

take a risk. be daring. trust yourself learn as you go.

Learning to let go is very important. Sometimes what you need to let go of is hiding and takes a while to figure out. I've learned lately that you can't control the train if you've already missed it.
