Life is far from perfect.

Life is full of twists and turns, some very painful challenges for many and I am right in there.  This past year I have taken my emotional growth and applied it to many situations that I thought would surely leave me but a husk of a human.
I have chosen to fill my heart and soul with love, compassion, gratitude, and hope that I can find my way along this thorny path that has been a constant since birth.  This attitude sure beats the one of anger, depression, frustration, and futility that can so easily slip in there if I am not staying on top of it and aware of my mental/emotional state.
This isn't bravado on my part, it is simply getting older and wiser as I become more aware and learn some new things at the speed of light and wonder why it took me a lifetime to get such a simple concept.  Oh, yeah, now I remember, no role model.  Those abuse, abandonment, and chronic illness issues are a bitch to deal with.
The good news is that they can be dealt with and the sooner the better.  As for the physical health issues, well, they too can be dealt with to the best of our ability on a day to day basis as we proactively seek more wholesome, natural remedies and remember that a negative attitude only intensifies the pain.
We truly are all in this together.  The tapestry of life in it's intrinsic and complex simplicity is never boring.  Much of life is still quite the heaven and hell scenario but beyond that there is the mystery of what this is really all about.
I'm hoping for love and peace.  I'm wishing all of you love and peace.

yeah deelyn, you have had a rough time. i know what you mean by emotional growth. it is a hard one. i am at that place right now. emotional, verbal, ...etc.- abuse as like a....like my whole life. and all the strings attached. we do definitely a lot better with self love, nurturing ourselves, and gratitude. i felt like i abandoned my mom, but at the same time it is weird because after she died , it was worse....like she abandoned me.?so this is getting long, sorry. i also have fibro, neuropathy in feet, and degenerative disc disease, and more... so thanks for the journal ... hugs gizzzzzzy
