Life

I wrote this to a friend:

I hope things are going good with you.

I wanted to share with you something I did today. I have a very regimented life here. Today I requested the morning to myself until 10am.

It was a good thing i did.

Before explaining why, I want to say that I’m finding now very much the acceptance of life for me here and the sense of commitment, though at times honestly there are pangs for a life of my own with a significant other.

It’s I think the stinging of life, I am resolved too as it happens to everyone, as there always seems to be a sacrifice with every choice we make in life. I’ve resolved here to put my nerves aside with those complicated moments and take the conclusion that the work here needs to get done and to keep on keeping on.

So as I said, this morning I indulged in extra sleep and time with my cat. I don’t know if this makes sense, but it felt like I had no center to my life. I think this is a sign in the sense that I’m finding my personal life. There’s a gray area of commonality and humanity in making a life decision, aside from my connection to my family. Does this make sense?

I am on my own path now outside of my father and siblings and the fear of commitment

Is lessening and is birthing a kind of humanity as I said.

A life choice and commitment, I’m finding, is not a punctuation mark but maybe more like a theme. I think I misjudged what a commitment would be and now I am finding it liberating and yet also inviting me into commonality of man on an unexpected level.

I hope that makes sense and I hope all is well.

Thanks for reading.

Love, Mark

You listened to your heart. It spoke to you and you answered the call. That is a huge commitment and you deserve alot of credit...I know there is alot of schooling involved before you can be ordained but what a magnificent day that will be!

God Bless
