life

life seems more meaningful at different times. This past year’s resident, at the clinic I go to,

wrote me such a nice note Wednesday. So kind. She will be missed!

We really had a good relationship.

I'm doing well. Just have some decisions to make about life. Life has challenges and then there seems

some peaceful periods. It's a mix and it is hard at times. I think I misconceived that life

as one ages would become more and more calm. It seems to get progressively hard just

in different ways than I anticipated.

But getting used to "that" is part of the growth and healing and being ok with life?

peace,

Mark

thanks arfie. I am definitely thinking in new ways this end of week.
In terms of shared meaning we have with others and having community
and having the kinds of relationships we would like to have.
I have been told by a therapist long ago 'that it is like (I) need a whole world."
Going to the monastery is indeed a kind of world apart where I am appreciated
in a really steady and consistent communal way.
It is stepping out of society in a way and for that it is more of a role of being
a social or societal supporter.
In terms of having the kinds of relationships I want out here in Los Angeles..
I live very much on the outskirts in a kind of way. I connect with great gratitude
at work and the places I do my business. Again though I am like an old soldier
never to die but slowly fading away. (I am sorry if that seems sad) - I just think
I need to weigh the pros and cons of the different relationships I have and want to have
at this point in my life...which is more what I seek and rewarding?

It's so nice that the intern at the clinic wrote you a nice note sweetie.... That's lovely!!

Will you be going back to the Monastery any time soon Marky?... That's something that you can always keep in mind for your future if you want to

Sending a big squishy hug... xo
