Letters To Survivors
After two years of planning and development, Letters To Survivors is on its way to the printer/distributor! 136 pages of full color, edge-to-edge artwork, in what will become a gorgeous gift book...Months of painstaking graphic design, art production, and re-design...I'm proud to say this will be a spectacular work of art. There's not a single dark or triggering image to be found, and every letter is graceful and poignant. Any woman at any stage of recovery can read this book without being triggered (or hurling it across the room...like my other book!) It's a book that can be read without embarrassment of the topic, or given to a friend.
The printer's proof will arrive this week, and if I approve it, it will go into full production. The book will be professionally distributed, making it available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and can be ordered in any major book store. If sales warrant, book stores will also opt to carry it on their shelves.
I will be launching letterstosurvivors.com to offer extra content and direct sales of the book at below cover price. Plus, there will be a limited hardcover edition! It will be expanded in size, plus have additional letters, more art, glossy paper, group discussion questions, etc. And here's the cool part: it will NOT cost more than the standard paperback edition!
Of course, everyone who contributed to the book will get a free copy of the Deluxe edition! It will be released after the standard one, through because it is NOT being handled by a traditional publisher/distributor. I'm hiring a printer to personally produce the Deluxe (Hardcover) edition (henceforth LTS-HC), which means I have to raise funds personally to accomplish that. Give me time; these days are lean for our family.
For those who don't mind spoilers, I'm adding some sneak previews of the artwork. Please be kind; I worked agonizing hours until my eyes blurred to design each and every one of your letters personally.

Actually, I like the slide show very much and I love the flowers surrounding my letter. My handwriting was kinda crap, lol. I can\'t wait for the book. I. just. can\'t. wait!
Thanks for the laughs! I quit reading at the link and just clicked...and ended up with a window to Los Trancos Systems as well. It was funny to come back and read Matt\'s response. And of course, Dev, who actually knows more about Los Trancos Systems that the company\'s CEO...and her challenge...had me rolling. Gosh, I have forgotten how funny you people are, and how much I need to laugh at the witticisms like these from time to time.
Now, on to the journal Matt wrote...WOW! I am in awe of the beauty of the pages. I cannot read them in the video clip, except by going full-screen and stopping on each one as it changes...and it is just breathtaking. I am so moved.
I too am not comfortable with \"pride\" in it\'s truest sense, but....in this regard, I am so humbled, and honored to be among some of the strongest people I have ever encountered...in that sense, I truly am filled to the brim, and over-flowing with pride. The quality of the book makes me feel that same sense of honor...but as having been gifted with it. Matt, you honor our truths, or pasts, our pain, and our triumphal moments in this work. It is how you have handled my truth since I first met you, and \"Thank You\" simply cannot do it for me...I do not have the words...and for me to admit that, well...you know. You are a trusted and loved friend.
