Legs Still Shaking

The leg shaking has gotten a bit better today. I found out if I move my legs on my own, then they don't shake. So it's been a lot of playing footsie with myself. It's just down to my left leg now for the most part. I tried taking some more klonopin to see if that would help, and it didn't. I also took a muscle relaxer to see if that would help and that didn't either. The only thing that helps is to move my leg. I went for my walk today, just a short one since I didn't have a ton of energy to do a long one, and that was the only relief I got from the leg shaking. Well, that and when I was sleeping. I want to go to sleep early tonight just to see if I can get this leg thing to stop by tomorrow. I know today was better than yesterday by far, and hopefully by Monday it will be gone. If not, I may have to go see the doctor. I also have to check to see if my Medicaid went through yet, so that way I can see the doctor for free. I have to stop by the clinic to see about that.
I know now why my leg is shaking. When I was on the Depakote I was getting some leg shaking, but nothing like this. My doctor told me to taper off the Depakote when I got home, take one pill one day, and then wait 2 days between pills and so on. I took one pill on Thursday night, and then on Friday I'm shaking. I took both the Depakote and the Neurontin at the same time, like the doctor told me to. I guess it was just too much of a mood stabilizer for me, and that sent me up a bit too much and I'm showing it by shaking. I thought it might be akathesia, but it's probably not. Well, maybe, since I have to move my legs to get it to stop shaking, but I'm not sure. I would need to talk to a doctor to be sure. Only one that knows the difference, not the bad doctor. If my Medicaid has gone through, I'm going to go see Dr. Miller on Monday. I might have to miss some more work, but it's worth it if I can get this shaking to stop.
Mood today has been okay... if it wasn't for the leg shaking, I would say it was a good day. But the legs won't stop shaking, so I can't say that. I'm going to be mad tomorrow if I haven't gotten any better from today. I did manage to go for a short walk today, about .8 miles, so that's something. I also managed to get to the gym to work out, and that was good too. I had a good relaxing workout in the gym, once again the time when my legs weren't shaking since I was moving them on the machines. I came home and they started shaking again and I was upset. I was hoping that going for the walk would have stopped the shaking, but I should have known from past experience that it wasn't going to stop them. I know that the only thing that stops them is to move them now, so I know to move my legs as much as possible when they get like this. I just hope that this is the last of it, since I'm not going to take any more Depakote from now on.
Sleep last night was good... I got 13 hours plus a 2 hour nap. I'm not feeling depressed when I sleep a lot at the moment, and I need all the sleep I can get to get me some relief from these legs. I know I said I was going to cut down on sleep, but right now I need sleep to get me relief. I woke up after 12 hours feeling good, but decided to go back for another hour since my legs were starting up. I know now that I can survive on less sleep, I just decide to get more for my own pleasure. I love sleeping. It's the only break I get from life. Not that my life is so bad most of the time, but these past couple of days have been hell, so I have wanted a break from this life.
Food today was good... I met my calorie goal for the day. I had my regular chicken thighs for breakfast and dinner, along with a couple of yogurts and cheese and crackers. I was just low on carbohydrates, but other than that I was good. I had enough protein and fat for the day. You would think with ginger ale, crackers, french fries and sweetened yogurts I would have had enough carbohydrates for the day, but I guess not. Stress today was okay.. I've been frustrated at my legs, but I don't know if you would call it stressed over it. I did stress a bit about getting out for my walk, but I made sure I got out there and did it. I needed it, even though it was a shorter walk than I wanted to do. I wanted to do 2 miles, but there was no way I could have done that in the condition I was in today. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

Have you called the dr. to tell him about the leg shaking?
Hopefully it will stop and you can say you are having a good day.

I hope you can get to a doctor and get the leg thing handled i would be so stressed out over it. Mine have had a twitching thing in the past and it drove me nuts. Good for you going on walk and the gym even if it wasnt what you wanted as far as distance its still so positive especially if it gives you a bit of temporary relief from the shaking. Hugggzzz
