Leaving the past behind . . .

I guess it's the new year that has inspired me to work on leaving the past behind - and that includes some of my bad habits.  With my husband being laid up, it has been an opportunity for me to spend time on projects - - -look around and see some things that can be changed.  I keep telling my husband and brother that before I die I WILL be organized. :] I wouldn't want anyone to find all my stuff . . so.. I'm on this big rampage to organize.  I did the master bathroom last week and it came out awesome . . .I said, gee - it looks so sterile... but I was keeping a lot of things around that I didn't really need.  Now it's going to be a "place for everything" and everything in its place... like they told us when we were young.  For some reason, some people are better disciplined about that than others.  Anyway, I am working hard on it and I think it IS working. My mother was a neatnick - maybe I have 1/100th of a gene from her. :] You guys are probably going to think I'm a big slob :] not really, though I'm a little more "cluttery" than I want to be - that's all. Well, I've just been interrupted by something so I will continue later.... Hope everyone is well, happy, healthy, and GF!Hugs,Smokeygirl

Oh my sistah....we are too much alike LOL....my mother is a compulsively neat neatnik...and maybe I have rebelled a bit from the degree of rigidity I grew up with....but I love everything in its place...go figure! However, I\'m more cluttery as well. My move will be forcing me to make choices and keep only what is most important! One of the benefits. When I did some schooling in Germany, I lived in one room, with one box of clothes I had shipped.....and that was about it....and I was happy as a clam. NO CLUTTER.... it was very freeing....loved being able to carry just about everything I had in a backpack. A friend of mine had a great idea about photographing some of the things I have kept around for sentimental reasons only....we\'ll see what happens with that!

Take care.....love, Dianne
