Learning to fight the depression
I'm just waking up, having coffee and I'm fighting the depression within me. I realize I would like things a certain way in my life, but it's important that I stay in the here and now and decide what I'm going to do. The thought of contributing and how everyone is contributing came to me. I thought to take ownership of what I'm contributing and not just serve the role in a kind of separate way. Ownership gives me a sense of agency and satisfaction and so I'm focusing on what I can contribute. I suppose it's adulting but so be it. I am an adult. It does lift my mood. I hope this helps someone out there because I know I wish it had come to me sooner, but perhaps it just came to me in time.

Big hug sweetie...It makes a lot of sense to me
I'm glad that you're seeing how much you contribute Mark!...xo
Thanks Janet!
Mark I think you've known the above for a long time. It's what is inside your spirit of "Keep on keeping on" and looking for a positive outcome in any type of situation you come across, whether it's with in your mind/body, or your relationships with other people you come in contact with here, at the monetary or your family.
The I Can Do This Attitude, despite the switching tracks which take place in your brain, despite you taking good care of your health from time to time...God Bless You over and over again for 'reaching for your star??? no matter what that might be....
I do hope one day you will find the peace within yourself to know you are Good Just As You Are <3
Thanks Mary Louise!
since i have started using my emotions as a monitoring system instead of fighting them like mortal enemies, i have come to think of depression as a signal to make small, joyful changes in my attitude and/or circumstances.
let's go ahead and call that, "adulting."
Thanks Arfie, what a truly wonderful thought! Thanks!
