Learning Curve
I'm learning as I go. What else is not new?!
First, it was very helpful to just say "I'm Sad" on Friday and feel so much affirmation from you all. I think I have learned that I may finally have the best reason of all to take better care of myself. Tired=fragile, and perhaps a dangerous lack of perspective. Not that there's anything wrong with admitting I'm sad, or owning the grief and the loss.
Second, it seems like I might have misunderstood some FMO etiquette and hurt some feelings by not always responding to things. Here's what it is: my laptop is on or my work PC is on with internet sites open, but I'm away from it... or working away in some other program. And, the email address I entered for this group is one I only check once in a great while.
So I don't see all the journal entries, I don't see all the IM's that float by, etc. Please, dear friends, don't think I am intentionally disregarding you or sending you some silent message. I'm really not the 'silent message' type! If I ever have issues with people, I ask them if we can talk about it.
Just know I'll be back when I'm back. If you ever need me STAT you can let me know by jumping up and down. Ho ho I guess that won't work. If you REALLY need me in an emergency, email me at sarah.lindentree@gmail.com. That will get through, no matter what I'm up to. 'K?

I said silent prayers for Barbara all weekend. Sending whispered words of comfort. I know how much she doesn't want to let go... life has such a strong call. Andy didn't want to let go either. It was truly a blessing that his brain got knocked out by bleeds, so the last couple of days he was awake he was not struggling emotionally... just a wonderfully goofy sweet love-bunny. So many things for which I give thanks.

Etiquette, schmediquette. I agree with Robin. Other than the expection of showing kindness (and you are a dear and kind woman), there are no expectations. we are all here to heal and help when we can. How we do that and show that is up to the individual and may be dictated by how much we ourselves can give at any given moment. There are times when I take and times i too can give. We all are doing the best we can. Love to you and Andy, Linda
Too hard to keep up and sometimes it\'s really hard to comment, so if you can\'t say anything nice or constructive, I really think it is better to say nothing at all. What the heck? Peace to you and rest assured, you are not doing anything wrong in my eyes. Truly your friend, BarbaraWawa (Barb)
We each are trying so very hard to make a path in a bramble strewn wood...so, I think we all try our best, which must differ from time to time....at the foundation is understanding and care...=all good.....love to you sarah....
Ditto what everyone says ~ there is no \"right\" or \"wrong\" here. And if you want to be on the website checking on journal entries but not accidentally snub someone by not responding to a chat, just click at the bottom where it tells you how many friends are on and then select \"go offline\" as your status rather than \"available to chat\". You\'re still on the website but it looks like you\'re not. Then you can re-open your availability when you truly are.
I agree that we\'re all super fragile and sometimes take offense at things that used to float right on by.
Sending love and big hugs ~ Debbie
If you are guilty of a breach of ettiquette then I am too. I can\'t read everyone\'s post due to both time and heartache. I feel that everyone here accepts who\'s here when they are and understands when they are not. Sometime I get on and just read..no responses or posts..other times I journal or just comment. I go as the spirit moves me. You do what\'s good for you. FMO will be here when you need it.
Oh My Sarah..if ever there was a gentle soul- it is you! I can\'t imagine anyone taking offense with you - unfortunately as some have already said - we are all fragile right now and our feelings close to the surface. Please keep on being you - the one I adore. Love Suzzanne
