Leaky Ceiling

I didn't do anything today... I never even left the apartment. Last night sucked... we found water leaking from the ceiling onto the wires of our air conditioner. We had to call the emergency maintenance line. The first time he assured me it was the a/c. Then he left, promising to come back today to fix it. Geo heard this and got mad... he had me put my hand on the water leaking, so I called the guy back. He felt it and said it was coming from upstairs. We rigged some of the non-electrical loose wires for the water to fall into a bucket. It stopped by the time I woke up, so I know the guy helped out. It was just *so* frustrating trying to talk with him because he doesn't speak English and I only know a bit of Spanish. I was trying my best, and he still didn't understand me. I got mad, but just hid it. He said to my friend Lisa who was trying to translate for me, and he told her my apartment smelled funny. Well, if you had water leaking onto the floor, you are going to get mildew. I'm going to call the office tomorrow to see what they have to say. I think they should pay for damages since it's not our fault the water was leaking. Geo says they will just tell me to do it myself, but I hope we don't have to. I kept telling the guy "techo" which is ceiling in Spanish and he still said it was the a/c until he felt the water. Just really frustrating. Oh well. The problem seems to be fixed. 
Yesterday was Geo's little brother's 12 birthday party. It was a surprise party, and he was so happy! I'm glad he had a good time. He gets roughed around a lot and it meant a lot for him to spend time with all his friends. They were having a blast, and Geo and I just kinda sat there and enjoyed the day. I ate nothing but junk and I'm at 217 now. I need to get back on track and start losing weight again. I know what I need to do, I just have to do it.
