lawyer on Tuesday

On Tuesday I go to see a legal aid lawyer to see where I stand with that CODA literature that bothers me. Up here the groups are in French and with literature of its own. One of them, containing a conference from Dr Gorski, NONCODA literature contains the suggestion that those with a hard time breaking from relationships ought to go into a few SHORT term relationships with the primary objective is to terminate them. This has the potential of afflicting the "Partner" who thinks he/she is in a LONG term Relationship with emotional/psychological abuse since the Partner/victim did not consent to be in a Relationship for the sole reason being to be dumped by the other for the other's benifit defined as progressive recovery from codependancy. I strongly denounce this form of abuse. It took some time to become aware of it for what it is. I already showed the offending suggestion to an on duty policeman who was informative and told me I ought not worry. BUT he also stated that he was not a lawyer. So on Tuesday I'll see the lawyer to see if I have inadvertantly been engaged in aiding and abeting such an abuse. As I right that last thing it doesn't make total sense because I brought it to the attention of an on duty police officer. But still I want a peaceful mind. So I'll make the most of the weekend and then on Tuesday afternoon I'll see the lawyer. I already wanted tobring this issue up internally. But the group representative was closed to anything that would render their literature legal, Under the law of the land. Read my  past entry for that story. Frankly I feel more at peace. I have avoided the movement since all this flared up with the group representative of French CODA. I have so far gotten support for my position from everywhere apart from in local group(s) here. Makes me feel like the prophets Jesus talked about who is welcome everywhere  except in his home land. It will be possibly an interesting encounter. I was suckerred into the presummed aiding and abetting because of the emphasis put on volunteering to fulfill tasks, even if it meant engaging in seemingly illegal activities. Can't expect THEM to know the law after all. RIGHT? Well, one day at a time.
