Law of Attraction
I am attracting what I am feeling with my attention and attitude.
I am not feeling "good" or "bad" based on what I am seeing, I am either liking it or not liking it.
Whether it is "good" or "bad" depends on what I am expecting with my attention, and comparing them.
IF...my attention, my thoughts, my beliefs, are focusing on what I do not want to happen: Fear, or an experience to be Feared, or signals and expectations of something to be feared, my eyes and mind will attract my attention to the slightest opportunity of something imperfect or unusual that may signal something to be Feared is happening or may happen, then I will experience a feeling of fear. If I do this all day long, I will drain my adrenals due to the fear's "Flight, fight, or freeze" response from my autonomic nervous system. It will be keyed up to fear something at any moment.
On the other hand, if my mind is focused on looking for all the things that bring my comfort: competence, ability to adjust, "friends", "new" friends, relaxed, trust, adaptability, confidence that I can care for myself, happiness, then my feelings will be keyed for seeing those things in my environment, everywhere they are.
The key is in understanding that I am creating my feelings, not my environment.
My environment is just there, neither good or bad, just is.
It is my preset attitude and perception that gives me my feelings of fear or happiness.
I am doing the feeling, not my environment. My environment is not creating, or causing, my feelings. I do that with my beliefs according to what I am expecting of myself by how I choose what I focus my attention, thoughts, and beliefs on.
I am creating what I am feeling. I am attracting those feelings according to how I see my environment.
If my mind is set on "looking for problems", I'll see problems; if my mind is set on "looking for solutions", and things or ways that I like, I'll see resolution and all the things I can like about my environment.
Sounds simple enough.
The important principle is that I can control what feelings I am liking and not liking without having to change the environment, which is waaa...y to difficult (impossible, and not the cause anyway).
If I am not liking what I am feeling, I change my attitude to how I am liking what I am feeling.
"Not Liking" is a sign, a signal, to change my attitude. That I am using my mind, my attitude, to feel how I don't want to feel and I am attracting all those things for my attention; instead of attracting all those things to my attention that I'd rather "Liking" and are out there too. I just cannot see them if I am looking for the things I don't like, and fear.
I'll begin to apply the new focus, and report back later. It may take some time to change the old habit and adopt the new one...
