LAUNDRY DAY.....AGAIN!
July 14, 2009: Doing laundry, again! It just grows, almost by magic, overnight. There are only three of us here, now, and I can't keep up! We had another storm last night. I guess I should be grateful for the rain in July. It is not very good pool weather, though! I need to get some more sun before we hit the lake next week. Adam goes for the DNA test tomorrow. I will be very glad to get that ball rolling. I just want to know one way or the other. As I have said, Craig will be on vacation for the next couple of weeks. The weekend, after he goes back to work, we are supposed to go camping. Because he has Mondays off and the other guy he works with, has Friday's off, I suggested they switch that week. That way, each would have a four day weekend. I wrote it all down, very specifically, and neither one of them could understand. They even, according to Craig, looked at a calendar. So this evening I pulled a calendar out and showed Craig exactly what I meant. He said "Well, write it down." ARGH! I told him I had and he needed to do it if he couldn't understand what I wrote. So, he wrote down the two dates, got them mixed up, and I had to switch that. MEN.....such a right brain/left brain thing. I would almost bet my house, that any woman I showed what I wrote, would understand exactly what I meant. It is really funny....but not. And then there was Adam.....The closet doors in Scott's room (bi-fold) have been messed up a while. Scott was supposed to go to the hardware store wiith me and well, you know... Anyway, I just haven't done anything with them. It only requires a couple of little peg "things" to keep the doors in the track. So, I asked Adam to help me. I am only 5'3". He is 6'1". I thought it would be easier. NOPE! Right brain/left brain thing again. The way I was telling him was very straight forward and easy. He had this notion of having to remove all kinds of other hardware, etc. Finally, he just got mad at me and left me to it. I still don't have the doors on....not because I can't do it but because I am short and the doors are heavy. When I get the top right, the bottom is not, & visa-versa. Finally, I just got too hot and tired. My upper body strength is just not what it used to be! I WILL do it tomorrow! Well, the buzzer on my dryer just buzzed. I have to fold the towels, dry and fold one more load, and call my day, a day.

Lol...MEN! So cute and great examples of \"men\"dom...love to you...Karen
Bifold doors can be a real pain. It seems men have a way of never getting it quite right, so the woman has to finish the job, classic. Hope the DNA test helps with moving on. hugs, Rebecca
Men especially those we love. Can\'t live with them and for sure can\'t without them. Laundry you gotta love it, not. Love and hugs Cathy
Interesting topics, laundry and the incompetence of men!! A woman\'s lot huh?! I am 5\'3 AND A HALF! So I don\'t refer to myself as short... that half inch makes all the difference you know!! lol Charlotte.
That sounds anour right for a man and chores around the house. My husband is alwaya forgetting to do stuff, and he always forgets that I told about stuff that needed done. You know I used to get all mad and upset because of this stuff. Finally during one our talks, he told me I nag him too much. I came right back, with if you did what I asked and didn\'t wait forever,I would not have the need to \"nag.\" Then I just one day decided that it was not worth fussing or fighting about. I just started working on letrting go of these small things that were making me, nag, fuss, and loose precious minutes. I having lost so many loved ones, that I just cannot stand the thought of wastin time with the truely best man that I have ever met fussing ove a small thing like a unfixed door, or if I told him and he forgot, or If I really fail to tell him. Now I just try to let it go, pass on over it, and say it is not worth fussing over, so it can get done later. I have changed alot of my ways of thinking. I will leave didhes in the sink all night, if James has something he wants is to do or has a plan of any sort. It is maybe just a few precious hours, but I do not want to use them arguing. I want to spend them with \"I love you.\" That has become more important to me. Part of my changes are due to age, part to all the loss and grief in my life. I try to be more tolerant and more loving and kind,I will struggle to pick and choose the small battles in my marriage and life. Time is much too precious to waste it with thinking negative thoughts and arguing over things that really are not so important compared to loosing my sons, and step daughter. You have a diffrent sitiuation, and diffrent problems with diffrent people than me. I just hat to think of how many people who loose a loved one and they sepend the rest of their lives wishing they had made things work out somehow. I know I get close to the point of being too personal for some people. I apologize if I overstep my boundries. I only am saying my thoughts on the matter, and You have to live your own life, Love, good luck, always,Peggyh
