Last night, this morning
Sending good wishes. The midnight vigil went well. A couple of people told me it was beautiful.
I got back to my room jazzed. When I went to go to sleep i decided to take a couple of gummies as a sleep aid. Perhaps not the brightest thing. After the fact i felt I should try it naturally rather than with an aid.l (next time.) But i slept well and long. When I started out this morning my mind did all sorts of flip flops. Upsetting indeed. But i’m realizing that may just be part of for the course of life for me. We all have to transition from letting it all hang out (like in sleep) to a sense of order for interaction and tasks. I don’t know really but I think in part it’s my mind going to an undermining place to establish a knowledge of my boundary. So that thought is just or may be just another manifestation or aspect of ‘getting on to an orderly or known effort’ forward.
I’m realizing too that we each have a sense of power about us. Both men and women. We each have a sense of wanting attention. I’m just coming to see this and understand it. It helps me see the effort I and others make in trying to make good gestures and efforts, don't let perfect be the enemy of the good. I’m trying real hard to just cope with the morning and make a good effort forward and deal with my own inabilities at this stage of the day. Coffee please help!
Here at the monastery there’s a real focus on treating the other with dignity even, no matter if they put out there something other than that. It’s challenging but also teaching me the depth of humanity I am seeing now. Our animal natures and all which that means, for myself and others. It’s another kind of commonality.
I really want to go to a museum instead of eating or drinking. My spirit is taking center stage. After the government shutdown ends, I will make a plan! I could drive into Baltimore to see their municipal art museum. It’s a schlep either way. I’m out now doing errands. I feel so depressed and like I don’t want to live. Keep on keeping on. Life is seeming all too much that the odds are stacked against me. Money is freedom. I’d like to be spontaneous, the structure needed to conduct life is kind of killing me.
Keep on keeping on.
I’m thinking about my mom. She really tried her best.
My sister said ‘she was a lioness’.
Prayers and peace for all.
Xo

i think it is normal for me to have some emotional gyrations after a success. it think of ^it^ as a hangover from the high of success.
i remember your neck of the woods as having so many museums that there is one on every corner. they can't ALL be on the government dole.

We're out in the rural boonies here - but there are three small museums
