Last day of the month
Well it is almost the first of Feb. I am getting by. I appreciate all of those that have helped me. I am find that most of the time I just try not to think about James being gone. Is that a bad thing? I am trying to just get by in life. Everytime I see my inflatable boat I think of James Robert. In Aug (I thing it was august) we went out to make sure the boat was good. God, we had fun that day. Just the two of us floating in that boat talking and enjoying the sun and water. For the first time ever I let James Robert drive the boat. LOL He was so excited about that. I can still almost hear his laughter as he cranked up the trolling motor and we buzzed around the lake. I wish someone would tell me it was all a mistake and he is really not gone. Well now that stupid boat sits in the yard looking forlorn, like I feel.

There is no right or wrong way to go through this journey. Whatever is working for you is the best! Sending you hugs and love, Debbie
what a great memory to hang onto and thanks for sharing it... love ya!
Most of the time, just getting by is what I do. James has been gone such a short period of time. You do what ever feels right in your heart and nothing you feel, say or do is wrong.
What a beautiful memory you have of the time you and James shared.

I had \"almost\" convinced myself Kala was away at college.....almost. It\'s not right or wrong, good or bad....it\'s purely survival in the beginning.
I smile this morning with the thought of you two on the lake having such a great time together. What a gift that day was! Hold on to those memories tightly.....and put them \"on a shelf\" when you need to.
Love and tight heart hugs~~Teri
You are doing your best and that is enough... More than enough. As the others have so wisely said there is no right or wrong way to grieve.
What a sweet memory with the boat and James Robert. Rest in those when you need to because James Robert\'s life is so much greater than his loss. I understand that you cannot feel that now, yet in time you will. Celebrating all the years that he lived will matter more than the day he shed his earth suit. I believe it becomes our life\'s work as I know it has become mine. Never a goal to be attained, yet a way to live my life daily knowing that my son matters as does yours. Baby steps are what we take and lots of them and thank goodness we have one another.
Understanding what you are describing and sending the warmest (((hugs))) that I have.
XO Joanie
Keep remembering the laugh It doesn\'t mater what is right or wrong, you are in survival mode. We all do what we need to do to get to the next hour or day. Be kind and patient with yourself, this journey has many twists and turns. We all have are own coping methods, some work and some don\'t that is what is learned on this path. Together we all will walk with you...
Hugs Penny
Good memories are just good. And we do what we can. As so many of your sisters have written, there\'s just no right way. And day by day it has to be. Much love to you.
You have a wonderful memory..being on the boat with James ...
Hugs, marylou
I so understand, exactly what you are saying. I just try to pretend Dean is at home, with Debbie. He is just busy andd will call soon. Is that wrong??? I just don\'t know, but anything that helps me survive is okay with me.
Do or don\'t do whatever helps you, minute by minute...
((((HUGS))))....Julia
What a wonderful memory.
Whatever it takes to get from on minute to the next is just okay. I still hope that this is all a nightmare and I am going to wake up.
Love and hugs,
Marlene
I think we each devise ways of \"making\" it. It is so much to take in, to grieve...so doing it as you can is necessary. So take gentle care of you...Karen
