last day at work today
I don't know if I mentioned it - but I gave two weeks notice
at my job two weeks ago - and today is my last day at the market..
after 12 years... I just didn't like the new market - it's way too hostile
and it affected my mental heatlh and the stress really aged me.
I usually try and find something to like about my bosses - this one was way too
far off the charts.
Anyways - i will focus more on the monastery now - and I basically work
for my room and board here at the monastery - so financially it is not unsafe.
I have some savings for emergencies.
I talked to my therapist yesterday morning. It was nice to see her
as always. I find myself questioning the power of therapy.
I mean no disrespect. It's worked wonders for me - my therapist has
been my hero and life saver. After being with her for so long - I think I am
just starting to see that she's 'another person' just like the rest of us.
She has good advice but I am sure she has her own struggles and
the beauty of her work is that she provides comradery for the ride we're all
on in life. I just woke up this morning feeling kind of lost but also just so much in the moment.
Just keep on keeping on - one step at a time. I love my cat - I got showered and dressed.
And now I am waiting to go down to chapel. My eyes are kind of burning or they were -
that happened to my Uncle and Grandfather a lot. Hereditary I suppose.
One step in front of the other...

Have a good last day, Mark.
Here's to last day of work in this particular place. It's rough changing locations of work, as people have their own opinions of others moving in their territory. Leads to a lot of misunderstandings.
Here's to your healing.
Thanks Nikki and Mid!!
I thought that your boss seemed kind of nasty as well Mark
Now you have great trips and family to look forward to!!
Thanks you guys!! It’s over !!
'tis the nature of transition that the old becomes acutely uncomfortable, like a child outgrowing a favorite costume, every frayed thread and pinched inseam feels like an attack from enemy forces. new favorites are overlooked as the child does battle to decide the fate of yesterday's favorites. eventually, it be the discomfort of those pinched inseams and frayed threads which will motivate the adoption of new favorites.
i opine that you are in transition, father grasshopper. it looks good on you, padre. frame the pictures of the old with prayer and appreciation. peace be with you as you journey toward tomorrow.
did you know it is possible to take a risk peacefully? peace, itself, is a risk.
peace out, dude.
Thanks Arfie!!
