Laptop Problems

As some of you may know, my laptop spontaneously crashed last night.  I turned it on and it just showed a blank blue-gray screen.  After my dad and I tried to fix it for several hours, we unfortunately had to give up and take it to a professional.  The problem is, we will probably have to erase all my data.  I had my college essay on there and now I have to rewrite it.  It has been a while since I wrote it and I don't think I will be able to write one as good as that.  I also have some home videos taken with the webcam and some other irreplaceable things that will be lost. =[ I also have limited internet time now because I have to use my mom's computer.  I will be able to check messages everyday, but chat time may be limited.  But still feel free to say hi if you do see that I am online. That's about all.  If anyone has any ideas about how to fix my laptop, that would be great.  Otherwise, I hope to hear from you guys soon.  Have a good day.  =]
