Kristen Thomson Sheely

I found a blog writer that took my breath away. It popped up on my Facebook and I clicked on it and soon had read all of her entries. Her name is Kristen Thomson Sheely and her blog is through wordpress, nonameforthisgrief. I wrote to her and told her how much I loved her blog and asked her to keep writing. Unfortunately she hasn't written a new blog since we messaged each other, but I can go back and read her old posts and just feel like Ahhhhh...You may not know it yet, but you are part of my tribe, I recognize your soul.

Her writing is very raw, brutally honest, very deep. She is definitely not the "put on your big girl panties and carry on", like me she is "This is bullshit, I am broken". At the end of every entry she writes, "Please come home". One of her blogs, I believe titled "She saves me" is about a grayhound dog she adopted who had been abused and how they are both slowly venturing further into "life" with their visible and invisible scars, and having to confront all of their fears. It is so beautiful.

If you are triggered by writings that go very deep this isn't for you. Somehow, even though it often makes me cry, I am drawn to the depths. Perhaps I recognize myself there or I recognize others I consider my "tribe" and I don't feel so alone.

Just wanted to share, this is a hidden gem!!

Love,

Gina

Always grateful to recognize within another a part of our soul. It amazes me truly, how this kind of thing happens when sorely needed. No accident that she popped up on your FB page. Once at the library I had a book fall off the shelf right in front of me. It became at that time one of my favorites and when I went to check it out they said it was a book that I could purchase for twenty-five cents. lol! It was crazy!
Keep seeking, searching and knowing that YOU are not alone, Gina. Our tribe speaks the same language even though it might feel as if there are many dialects within it. The core is the same... the worst loss a parent could ever have to face, ever. We are each forever changed and always will BE.
Thank you for sharing what resonates for you. Yes, come home Cassi and Douglas, come HOME! Makes me teary just writing that...
