kitty time
Well., the reason for the kitten is that at the moment I am playing mama to 5 three week old kittens. They are my dad’s but he and my mum have gone away for the weekend ( RARE ). The mum died a week after they were born so it’s bottle feeding four to five times a day. They also have eye infections so it’s eye drops. Plus you gotta do the bum whip thing with a warm cloth to make them go ( Yuck!!! ). Anyway I’ve had them since Friday and will have them until mid afternoon on Sunday. I gave them a little bath this morning, they were not really impressed but they did like the towel drying. I have to keep them gated in a room, my Thiz Shu really has a hate on for them and tries to bite them. I was surprised!!!! anyway, it keeps me busy because it takes about a 1 / 2 hour to do all the stuff. Keeps me out of trouble. LOLYesterday was absolutely gorgeous here, perfect weather. The temp was about 31 c ( 88 f ) but with a nice soft breeze to keep things nice. I puttered around inside in the a.m. kittens, housework, water plants. I spent half an hour with dad having all the particulars re: kittens explained. Then my lawn guy and I had a 30 minute chat. The morning just flew by and then of course there were my journals to answer!!!! in the afternoon I donned my bathing suit and headed outside with a good book. I stayed out for about 90 minutes. Boy was it nice. I am on a new diet, yet again!!!! I may have mentioned it already, it’s the wu-yi diet. Let me tell you I am really impressed. I have lost 6 pounds in 4 days, yeah!!! I sure hope this continues, I’ll meet my goal before cruise time.Last night, 6:30, took the dogs for a run at the bird sanctuary. It had cooled of to 23 c ( 70 f ). There was not another soul there so the dogs could romp undisturbed. There were about 12 geese on one of the lakes. It was so... peaceful. We stayed about a 1 /2 hour.Well, it’s time for me to eat breakfast and get my day going. I hope all of you have sunshine in your lives’ today. Debbie

What is the wu-yi diet? I hope that first big loss is not just water weight, that seems to happen with new diets but will keep fingers crossed.
I love baby kittens, well gee I love cats of all sizes and ages and have done the bottle feeding thing with so many over the years, boy can they get spoiled with that but bottle fed kittens grow up to be real lovers.
Your poor dog is probably totaly jealous of the attention they are getting but still can\'t have him eating the babies. Have fun and enjoy that wonderful weather, we\'re still doing the cold, wet drizzly stuff and I\'m so tired of it.

Baby kittys how cool is that. I could do that all day long. they are so precious. Very brave to take that on. Good luck with yout diet. By th way you asked about the salsa and canning it. We can it like you do tomatoes or peaches in a pressure canner. Naomi xo
