Kids in Bars
Here comes a rant! ;D
Ok so my bf and I have noticed lately that a lot of our local bars, pubs, and brewhouses are allowing children inside. Maybe it is a regional thing but we are confused and disgusted. We are childless and happy. It is unfair that we must be punished because other people are too stupid to use birth control or keep their legs closed.
Bars were always one fun place we could go enjoy ourselves and drink smoke cuss and play the jukebox however we wanted. Now there are kids everywhere, babies, crying and ruining the fun and making everyone miserable.
I don't mean this happens at places like Applebee's or restaurants that serve alcohol. I mean breweries and bars! What is going on people? Leave the kids with a babysitter or give up the single life geez!
We recently went to a brewery and there was smoking. We got sat behind 2 kids who didn't look old enough to be in a bar who had to babies that were screaming like they had ear infections amidst the smoke and blaring music. We cpuldntchear over the screaming babies and teens running amok. We complained and the server acted like we were stupid or something.
Look I used to be a bartender and never had to deal with people being so desperate for a drink they would try to in front of kids. Smoking in front of kids is even worse. Now when we go out we have to be extra particular so our evening isn't ruined by some idiot with a screaming baby.
My bf and I can't have kids and once in awhile we feel a little sad. Then something like this happens and we are glad and so thankful we don't have kids. We also often feel we are discriminated against because we don't have kids dragging us down. Um jealous much bitches? Sorry your lives are so sucky and boring you have to drag down is successful people.

Its sad to hear you can't have kids. You seem so young to know this already.
As for kids in bars i presume you mean in the evening. I don't think kids should be on a premise after 6
But renember we need people to have kids otherwise there would be nobody around to pay taxes to support us when we are old .
But if we have kids then constantly having them in bars is not a great example
Yeah I'm talking about seeing teens and babies in bars after 9 pm. I mean are they trying to get groped and molested? Bars are rough places and that used to never happen around here. Sadly I do see that our country is becoming more and more alcoholic, whereas drinking used to be looked down on more. I live in the Bible belt where we still have dry towns and counties, so I'm sure what I'm experiencing is only a fraction of what goes on every where else. Absolutely disgusting America. SMH.
I have kids and I don’t want to be around screaming kids at the restaurant. Mine never yelled.
Me and a friend recently went Upstate New York, and went to a bar in one of the towns there. Saturday night, 9:30 pm, and we walk in and there's a KIDDIE BIRTHDAY PARTY going on. I couldn't believe it!!! Damn rednecks up there had a kiddie birthday party in a BAR. I'm trying to have a drink and relax and socialize and these damn little kids were running around, screaming, running, crying, hollering and hooting. Come on now---I thought I'd seen it all, but I guess I haven't yet.

@ Maria. Yes that is the exact situation we have been dealing with! How is this legal, and as Aronia said, why would anyone with kids want to bring them to a bar instead of leave them with the sitter?
