keeping the darkness at bay

I was worried all weekend about my fiance leaving town for work today. I've come to depend on him a lot during this last bout of depression. He feeds me, walks me and even bathes me when I'm at my worst. I guess this time truly alone is just another test of how steady my improved mood is.
I had a dream about being stuck in China, without shoes, and wandering the streets trying to get home without knowing anyone or understanding the language. My friend thinks the dream was about how I feel without my fiance around. He may just be right.
In an effort to keep the bad feelings at bay, I made the effort to go through pictures from our recent trip today. Remembering the good times we had and how positive I was feeling helped a bit. Then, I actually reached out and asked a friend to dinner. I am trying to make sure I have some human interaction every day so I don't feel completely isolated.
I still feel like I'm in a delicate bubble; I'm ok inside the bubble, but afraid it's going to pop and the dark clouds surrounding me will get in and smother me. I guess I have to stay creative with my efforts to stay on this side of the dark.
I didn't get out for a walk by myself today, but I did get out to dinner with a friend...I will try and get out there tomorrow.
