Keeping busy
Well May has been one mad month. I've ran 2 10k races, completed the Liverpool Half Marathon and then on Saturday I did my skydive with 16 others all to raise money for Matt's charity. I've also signed up for another 10k on Sunday, the Great North Run and Tough Mudder. I feel like by raising money for the charity that meant so much to him is my way to show my love for him now he's gone. I'd never even ran for a bus this time last year never mind 13.1 miles. I have to admit I am pretty proud of myself. I may just be going mad but I'm seriously considering signing up for a full marathon now. I'm halfway there already. The skydive was one of most terrifying but best experiences ever. I really would do it again no questions asked. I think I've found the best way to deal with my grief, I still miss him so much but without all this to keep me busy I think I'd just be totally consumed by it. Even hurtling to the ground at 120 mph from 10000 feet he was still on my mind. I just want to make a difference for him now and I won't give up anytime soon.
