Keeping a lid on

Sometimes the intensity I impose on myself (I am learning ) is my way to keep grounded, keep focused and on target and responsible.

I’m at the ford service center right now and I’m sitting in front of the tv - a rarity (cbs this morning) and I’m starting to feel ungrounded but I am learning why. I love the tv but can see how I get lost in all of it.

Things are good!! A new lesson for me:)

Glad things are good for you today Mark. I don't know what I would do without TV. I'm way too addicted to it.

Thanks Becky and Jan! I don’t have a tv. But the local PBS station streams free on my laptop. I get the news from the radio.

when i come off of a media fast, i always return with a heightened awareness of how media intake affects me. i lose my taste for particular media while growing new appreciation for others. sometimes the affects are quite subtle. other times the affects are glaring. the thing about media intake is that it is a complex weave of many threads and colors.

butta, butta, butta. . . the only mistake i can make with any of it is to take it so seriously.
