Keep on keeping on

I found myself clapping my hands like my friend John used to this morning and getting into the work of taking care of the day!

Keep on keeping on!

It helped me pump myself up!! Choosing happy!

We clap hands for the Lord in church and it does cause joy and reminds us of all the good things He has done for us.

I just wanted to elaborate more about this post. This morning I was feeling separate from the others in the kitchen.
Separate emotionally. Generally I am a 'morning person' and so when I began to work,
the depressed moodiness I found to be there in the kitchen I knew was not my mood and that was ok!!.....I was able to
respect the boundaries and differences but also keep a happy determination...so I clapped my hands
with enthusiasm to pump myself up to do the work.

Now I have done a lot of work for the monastery this day. I am in my room and I find myself insatiably tired.
But I knew and decided I'd champion my own cause. I'm getting a cup of tea. I don't have to reject myself
because in the moment I was feeling like a fat headed 'ne'er do well'. I can't believe every perception
I have of myself because I am feeling a certain way (most probably because I am just tired!)
. I am worthy and so even in the face of feeling
the way I was - I'm taking care of myself. I am worth it! ..and so ARE YOU!!

Here's to clapping your hands and finding the joy in the sense of clapping! Hurrah for you!
