just went to the animal shelter
I went to my brother's house today and then came home and did some other things. I decided to
go to the animal shelter and play with the cats. On the way to the cats' living room, I stopped
and connected with a cute couple of dogs. Both were sweet and one seemed to 'talk his bark' which
was cute..very vocal.
When I entered the cats' room, there was ambient music playing and all the cats were wandering around
the room. I pet a couple of them - but for the most part they were really aloof. Ah me, I guess some days
at the volunteering will be better than others. I was glad I went.

I love it when dogs do their best to imitate human conversation. I've tried to inspire that quality in every dog I've ever loved, but I have yet to be so blessed. Oh well. Nobody gets all the gifts.
For what it's worth, my favorite cat people are convinced that cats don't warm naturally to anybody wearing the smell of dog. Hence, the all-natural separation of cat people and dog people. Damned xenophobes. . . Specists?
Of course some days at volunteering will be better than others. Where in life is this not so? Do that do, my hero.
