Just wanted to say hi

Hi everyone,
so my $#@?!#&! laptop totally crashed. And the timing..just before Ed's angel date when I need my DS and my friends so I had it repaired. One hundred dolloars later even though I have 2 years of spywear protection. They, (the spywear company) doesn't cover what happened to my laptop. You gotta love it - they got us coming & going, lol.
I had a dream that Ed is surrounded by flowers and angels....it was comforting. Just what I imagine for all our children...surrounded in beauty and peace.
Tomorrow in honor of Ed's life my grandchildren, DIL, ex-husband (Ed's Dad) and several of Ed's friends are meeting us at the cememtery to bring flowers, cards etc and take a few moments say a few words and prayers and then we will gather back at my house for a brunch. (I am very busy preparing food today so I am not too sad - too busy at the moment to feel too much).
On Tuesday, Ed's actual angel date I took the day off work. That night Ed's children, my DIL and Ken & I will have a quiet family dinner. I am making Ed's favorites in his honor. Lasagna and salad; fudge pie for dessert.
When I begin to feel awful I remember what my grief counselor told me. That "the worst has already happened." I will try & focus on the love and the years Ed was here with us. (I'll try anyway...) but truly all of us have lived through the worst already.
Thank you all for always being here for me. Friends in the truest sense.
Love to all, Linda

Oh Linda...there is a real love/hate relationship with our computers...we love them when they work like they should...and hate them when they dont! I AM glad that you got it fixed so you can feel all the moms here support of you. I am sure that everything will go smoothly tomorrow and Tuesday sounds like it will also be so special. Please take it easy on yourself and know that I love you and will be keeping both you and Ed in my heart and prayers. Karen

Life is like a river, it doesn\'t stop for fallen trees in its channel, poor exhausted swimmers...not even levees can tame a river for long. It just flows on.

Ed wants you to keep swimming, Linda, and so do I. Life is going on with or without us.

It is so hard, but sounds like you have found a way and you have lots of others to remember with you...

Dear Linda, I can relate to that whole computer thing, mine crashed last winter and even though I have a Kindle Fire, it just wasn\'t the same, I so missed all of you here.I have to say that was a hundred dollars well spent, especially during this time of year.
So glad you and your family will be spending this time together sharing those special memories and all Ed\'s favorites.Something about cooking all those things your child loved makes that day a little easier.
I hope this day is as gentle on you as it can be and remember we are all here to help you through it.
Great Big Hugs to You and Your Precious Ed, Charlene

I\'m glad you have so many loved ones in your life. Sharing the grief seems to be the best we can do. I\'m thinking of you and Ed, and hope this weekend is peaceful and gentle for you. Love, Abby

The worst has happened already but that does not make us feel any better. Why did it have to happen, to us especially? It sounds likeyou have a close knit family and that they will be there by your side as you remember Ed. May the upcoming days be kind to your heart and mind. Fudge pie sounds awfully good right now. Take care and I hope to be reinstated as your friend. The ups and downs of this journey sometimes cause us to do weird things, like maybe delete friends from time to time. I hope you understand if this is what happened. I don\'t even remember. SIncerely, BarbaraWawa

How comforting to have family to celebrate Ed\'s life with you on his angel date. I am sure it will be filled with laughter and tears.
What a wonderful dream - I pray that all our loved ones are with Ed - surrounded by flowers and angels.

I guess as Christians we know the worst and the best has happened simultaneously....I am so glad you had such a vivid and peace filled dream of Ed. I wish so much that I could have a dream....they seemed to have ceased. I know that cooking Ed\'s favorites is comforting to you....it makes me wonder just what was Brandon\'s favorites because he truly loved everything! I wish you well and many wonderful memories and dreams from your Ed. Much love on Ed\'s Heaven Arrival Date, Linda....dale, brandon\'s mom

Today is my son Dean\'s first Angel date. The day is almost over and it has been so hard. My family is scattered, so my husband Billy and I spent it alone. Tears have fallen off and on all day. I hope your Ed\'s Angel day is full of sweet memories. BTY...that fudge pie sounds soooo good.

As Angela said, yes the worst has happened, and I agree that the after effects are devastating and, I pretty much realize now, permanent. But we live on. Ed is in a garden, he\'s following the path of One who opened its gates to us. I had a five second \"vision\" of April this early AM, I turned from what I was doing in some silly dream and there she was standing at my right, with that little smile I loved on her face. I gasped, literally, and it was gone and I was fully awake. I know the angel dates are hard. I keep you in my prayers, my friend, as you get through this week. Buy an external hard drive from newegg.com. They\'re about $75, very small and portable, you can literally copy your entire hard drive onto it and then \"restore\". Also, spyware shouldn\'t crash your computer. You picked up a trojan somewhere. Get reliable virus software, call the 800 # for the manufacturer of your laptop and they will advise you. Run a scan every week. Install the \"WOT\" score card, it\'s free and an icon (green circle) will appear at the top of your internet screen. When you do an internet search, WOT will put a green circle next to safe links and will STOP YOU (by putting up a large WARNING sign) from going to links where people have reported damage or spamming. Just Google \"WOT\" and you\'ll find it.

You are a dear friend to me. I will keep you in my prayers but pretty much Ed is now in a place where he is praying for US. :o)
