Just the facts
The facts are:
I am a compulsive gambler - 100% a gambling addict.
I can not gamble for "fun".
I can not gamble "just a little bit".
if I gamble and lose $100, I then need to spend another $100 to buy the things I needed to use the original money for like, milk for my kids, food for my family, shoes or boots or toys or a vacation or something that would bring myself and my family much more joy than selfishly loosing the $100 in the fisrt place
I can't loose just $100 because I am a gambling addict.
I Remember the night sweats - waking up in a sweat, wondering how you are going to pay your bills, wondering how you are going to put gas in your car, wondering how you can feed your family, then wondering how you can get $20 more dollars to try to win back the $400 you lost yesterday? And the $300 the day before?
I Remember the dreams of waking up and watching the game, vividly seeing the numbers, hearing the sounds of the machine, hoping for a win in your sleep, but knowing you are loosing sleep and loosing your hopes, loosing your dreams, loosing your life due to this horrible disease?
I am not willing to do this to myself or my family again. I am worth more, and they deserve more.
Just for today I will not gamble!
Stay Strong!
