just taking a moment
work went well today. I am doing more and more there each day.
I have yearnings to talk to my therapist today,
I'll have to wait until tomorrow though but I'll copy here what I wrote her
yesterday as it is on my mind (I shared it already with one other friend) :
She, my therapist, responded:
Glad you are feeling better--know yesterday was a bit much - I guess we all have to try to bloom where we are planted!!!
---
Indeed that is how I am feeling. I feel like I am giving myself the chance to bloom
where I'm planted.
I'm finding work to be very much a happy place for me..it gives a sense of value and engagement...
A time to do for something 'team oriented' and also keeping the machine/business that we're running
strong and moving along...
I am getting more and more done each day.
I'm still puzzling if I should be doing something else at times but maybe
that something that lies in the future might be an outcropping of where I am now or some portion of what I am doing now?
I'll leave some of the blooming up to fate and determined hard work and I'll also keep an eye out for
opportunity...My struggles in the past has interfered with my vision for windows of opportunity..
----
I just wanted to add I feel like a 53 year old kid, these past few days I am starting to love my life as I'm living it, as I said, and I don't know if you could call it a day where
my inner child feels strong but I don't know if I ought to judge myself about it. I feel young!
My therapist and I talked about how 'some people, if they're not always engaged in something busy - tend to start
feeling kind of nervous ..' and...that's how she thinks I might be...?
Her idea is compelling for sure!
So things are good, just taking a moment, and as I yearn to talk to my therapist and friends,
I'll also look for all hints or suggestions of opportunity that come my way...community is such a strong
force and yet we have to make our 'individual way' in life...the path where the two sides connect
can create such a storm of emotion. The two sides conflicting can derail you but it's a good thing to love the path you're on.

More later. Long work day today….
thanks Nikki!
God Bless You Mark, for who you are and all you do~~And...especially for what you share!
A thought came to mind, in connection with you supporting new tree life...
Do you have house plants? If I may suggest this one...it's called a Peace Lily Plant

Even if you have a 'black' thumb, this one is So Forgiving...it actually Tells You when you need to water it
Thanks Mary Louise!! I’ll check it out!!
Hi again Mark. I find it invigorating to be part of a team and be “team-oriented” and notice in recent years how much more rewarding it feels to participate in that way rather than the stress upon oneself! It can be frustrating when the team dynamics seem dysfunctional, for sure, but it is reassuring when you meet “like minds” in the situation and working toward similar progress is such a strong thing!
Even in therapy, too, upon reflection from hard times in the past - I found how beneficial it was in sort of group therapy situations- how impactful our personal journeys can be when we share with others. Maybe that’s hippie dippie of me, but its been true for me so many times.
Relatability….. universality…. These sorts of things help with internal struggles and certainly help one feel less alone.
You sound so positive and upbeat and full of terrific reflection. :). That makes me smile.
thanks so much Nikki! You are so appreciated!!! Have a good night!!
