Just some thoughts I sent to my Pop

I wrote this to my Dad this morning.

Hey Dad, being here at the monastery with all the different people, each here for different reasons has helped me see that we’re each in a kind of zone in our lives going about things with our histories, pain etc. More essentially I’ve realized that we all have to push through our anxiety and stress when we go to build and make something ‘on our own’ in life, even when we make a misstep along the way we have to push through those moments and we’re all in a kind of zone like that. A zone of dealing with our putting ourselves out there and dealing with moments where we feel we’ve made a mistake (not to stop and just focus on that incidental mistake.). It makes me feel the normality of life. Through this, I realize I have a kind of character flaw to my personality, but I know I  love and I appreciate you guys so much!!l i feel the love from all of us!!

Maybe in each group you come to spend time with ‘as in ‘ for professional life you know this truth and yet adapt to the system you are now in.

I was noticing how this set of thoughts gave me a footing for feeling
a sense of peace and interacting with the others here. Then suddenly (hello hello)
I lost that foundation for some reason and it's like I became a bubble unto myself.
I had enough space in my mind that I realize we each can feel like this completely
alone bubble of problems in the world and when come together I know I need to
think in terms of breaching those two bubbles. Not to retreat into my own cave.
Again sometimes our problems can take our' whole view'
We’re each like that. 2 bubbles coming together.
I need to keep that in mind.
