Just Keep Goin
After that first night of finding out my best friend was engaged I let go of feeling sorry/sad for myself. She has been there for me for the past 16 years through everything! This is her time and I'm so excited for her and am going to be there through all of this for whatever she needs. I was so excited Wednesday that I could barely work! :) That being said, our other best friend and I have been shopping today! CM(the bride) is out of town for the weekend and will be home tomorrow. SO when she comes home there will be a basket waiting for her and her fiance filled with some little fun things, dress books, and tux books, a wedding planning notebook (I already asked her she wanted me to make her one!), pens, sticky tabs, etc. I am having fun putting all this together and am more excited to give it to them! But as I sit here I can't find anything to watch on TV, but manage to find "The Vow" I hesitated but decided to turn it on. And immediately I can feel that pain. And As I'm sitting here I have that pain and that feeling of just wanting to collapse, but I can't because I have things to do which is a good thing. All of these craft projects, sewing, redecorating, all of it is keeping me going. I know I've heard of people who are grieving becoming obsessive with a hobby or something like that. And I realized why I was doing it. My life revolved around Brad and the kids, taking care of them, giving them all of my attention all the time was what I lived for. So now that I don't have as many people to direct my attention towards I'm directing it into these projects. And i'm ok with that. And as hard as it is going to be I'm also about to throw myself into planning this wedding for my bestfriend because she deserves it. (Especially since her fiance wants to have a November wedding, as in THIS November!)

You are a great friend. You will do a wonderful job for her....just remember that you come first....take care of you.......Colleen
Thank you Colleen! I will try to remember that! That has definitely been one of the hardest things to learn because I\'ve spent years putting myself last.
