DOGGIE TREATS.

With all the cooking for the holidays we should not forget our fur kids and how much they like treats too. So this is the favorite ones according to my kids.
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
2 med. eggs
3 TBLS Peanut Butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cups white flour
1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup rolled oats
Heat oven to 400*
Mix wet ingredients well. Mix dry ingredients, slowly add the wet. Mix well and let the dough set for about 20 minutes. Working with 1/3 of the dough at a time knead it on a floured surface til smooth and pliable. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thickness, use a cutter and make small (0r large) cookies. Bake for 20-25 minutes depending on the size and thickness of the treats.
Let sit 20 minutes to cool and firm up. Mine never come out as hard as commercial bones and I think the doggies like them better.
My daughter nibbles on them and says with a bit of sugar, salt and maybe some spices they would make really great human cookies.
