June 2, 2010 Flank steak recipe
Hi All, I have been talking about this flank steak recipe all week and finally got around to make it. Here it is. Super easy! And so good!!
1 lb lean flank steak (1/2 inch thick)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce (generic brand is good)
1 tsp of ground ginger
1 tsp of sesame oil (I used regular oil)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1. Place flank steak in a large heavy-duty ziplock plastic bag. Combine honey and the next 6 ingredients; stir well. Pour marinade over steak. Seal bag securely. Turn bag to coat steak. Let marinade for 60 minutes.
2. turn top stove to medium high. spray with pam cooking spray. Put marinated flank steak, throw some fresh mushrooms and rest of marinade, cook on each side for 5 minutes (for medium rare).
3. Place cooked flank steak on cutting board and use a sharp knife and cut into thin slices.
Enjoy. I ate this with corn. The weight watchers cookbook I found this in says it goes with brown rice and steamed snow peas.
