judicial release granted
She had her judicial release hearing and the judge granted it!! She will be on probation for 5 years and they may or may not send her to rehab or halfway house. The will revisit that after she is released. She will still serve time for the other county. But instead of being released in July 2017 she will be home Oct 2016! yeah! we will not miss another holiday! The judge was pleased with her progress. He saw us there to support her and said that she was lucky. She said she knew it. Her plan is out patient rehab and na meetings and he was pleased. He was very encouraging! She will now finish her GED classes and take the GED and they will have a cap and gown ceremony. She has a home school diploma but this will be in addition. Then when she gets home she will be ready for college classes.

I cannot tell you how happy I am for your daughter and her recent success with the courts.
I am even happier to hear that she is studying for and will be getting her GED. I taught GED classes in prison for eight years and I know inmates are proud when they can make such an accomplishment. You could just see it on their faces with the joy and satisfaction when I handed them their GED diploma.
The GED success will increase your daughter\'s self-esteem significantly, which is a must for the recovery of a young man or woman with a drug or substance abuse problem. Mindy will realize that \"Hey, I CAN do this.\"
I always taught my reading students that sucess begets success and it is so true. Such an accomplishment will serve Mindy well throughout her life.
