journally things
I thought about my plan for the vacation - and originally I thought
of taking a day to myself and just drinking a whole bottle of
some alcoholic drink - the motivation for this is that I feel so out of control
of things so often - that I just want to put a fog on my head and lay low
and just blot out the outside world.
I am not feeling so much like that right now, I am feeling kind of excited to
go enjoy the outside world.
I think in part of what I am learning with therapy is how to delineate between
the emotional reactions to things - and how things actually are.
I may have this illness - and feel the isolating force of it and the distress and dismay too -
but I think
if I don't feel so special as a result of the way the work day went - and how people and
I interacted, then I think in my off time - I have to pull up my spirits by the bootstraps
and remember who I am - reclaim my life - and set out to build the life I want.
I think I can do this. I think I can deal with the down feelings from work - and set out to create my world on the off hours.
Just showered - feeling tingly clean and good. Ready for Chinese food and shopping with my sister. :)
Have a good day you guys!!! xx

I think you can do this, too. Continued support while you jump the hurdle.
For what it's worth:
A therapy exercise which helped me over this hurdle was separating my feelings from my facts. Both are equally important, but it sure gets messy and confusing when I can't tell which is which.
Do I get to steal 2 fortune cookies this time?
2 cookies!!!
With my luck, the fortunes will contradict one another. I am a contrarian magnet.
call it yin and yang eh?
