Jesus Christ Superstar
I'm sitting here in an empty house working on my laptop and listening to the soundtrack from Jesus Christ Superstar at almost 10 pm after a long day at work. It's been a routine if mine since Jackson died to listen to the soundtrack first thing in the morning when I get to work because he loved the musical and it's one of the small ways I remember him. Although I had certainly heard of the musical, I had never seen it until fairly recently. But, not too long before Jackson died, he, Ken and I watched it together on TV and I instantly feel in love with the music despite not being a huge fan of musicals.
After Jackson died, in my last (unlamented job), I arrived much earlier than anyone else, so I could play the soundtrack and not worry about what my coworkers thought about their crazy half-deranged coworker playing weird music. In my new job, however, the attorney who works with me works an early schedule and gets in at 6:30 when I do, so I can't play the soundtrack anymore -- otherwise she'll think I'm deranged. So, I've missed playing it in the morning -- it's my Jackson ritual and I need it. But, my coworker has given her 2 weeks notice because we work crazy hours and she wants to spend more time at home with her young children -- a choice I understand and applaud since I took 10 years off to be a full-time mom. So, I am sorry to lose her because she is really good at her job and it's going to be hard to replace her, but at least now I can listen to "Everything's Alright" and sob out loud every morning and not have to worry about someone overhearing the sounds of my grief. I love and miss Jackson so so much.

These rituals are so important for our healing and I often listen to music as well in the wee hours of the morning while the house is still asleep. It\'s a time when I can feel close to my son and remember.
Grateful you know that this is needed for you and I will have to listen to that soundtrack again as it\'s been many moons since I have.
Hoping your life between moves is settling in and that you are doing okay with all that is on your plate.
Loving care and let the music play again and again and again,
XO Joanie
love it, i do the same thing but in my car. I do listen to some in my office and on certain days I don\'t care what others think of some of the music coming out of my office. Jackson\'s listening right beside you!
Hugging you close....
