Jaw infection

I went to the ER a couple of days ago, and they said I have an infection on the sinus under the jaw. It's extremely painful and makes it difficult to do ordinary things, like swallow or breathe. The ER knew I was having trouble breathing, but they checked my oxygen levels and I was fine. After a 2 and a half hour wait finally the results from the CT scan showed it wasn't a piece of bone or something, just an infection. I've been on antibiotics for 2 days now and it's still hard to breathe sometimes, especially when I get anxious. They say it gets better after the 3rd day, so hopefully tomorrow I might be able to breathe better. It really sucks to have to breathe so hard sometimes, but oh well. I know what the problem is and what I need to do to fix it. I have this hard lump in my jaw but it doesn't hurt anymore. I have also been getting migraines along with it. I've just been in pain for a while and hopefully I can get over this soon.

sorry to hear that. I went thru that 2x in the past, and I seriously thought something was seriously wrong with me. I took over the counter sinus medication since I couldn\'t afford to go to the doctor, and it cleared out several days later. My only bet to somehow figuring it out was talking to a Walgreens pharmacist which I am thankful and tried out the sinus meds

Sorry you\'re having trouble. I hope you start feeling better soon. Make sure you finish the antibiotics not everybody keeps taking them once they start to feel better but it really is important to take all of them. Wishing you a better weekend than the week you\'ve had.

Sending wishes that you are getting better by now. How scarey that must have been before you knew what was going on!

Oh dear, sorry to hear you are doing so poorly. Maybe, that\'s part of the reason you\'ve been having the migraines.. I hope the medication has helped and you are feeling yourself again
