sending you a big hug sister girl!!!! staying in prayer is a huge thing to do, a powerful thing to do for yourself and others...when others have a sickness of spirit, sometimes all we can do is let go and pray for God to heal and repair.

here for you always and always!

I think it is normal for us to want are family in are lives, I wish you could just work this out in your self to find out why you keep doing this.I know you want your family but we live in such a bad time , I don`t know if you belive much in the bible but read 2 Timothy 3 ;1-5, this is one that allways helps me when family and friends seem to hurt us and hopefully you can see some of this in your dad.. take care and hugs , ann

I have the same thing with my dad... he used to be so great and now all I get is put downs. It all seemed to change when I got divorced, even tho he knew how bad my situation was, its just never been the same. I\'ve learnt to remember the good times and accept things for how they are now and try not to make them how they used to be - can\'t go backwards :) But I don\'t let him (or my brothers) get away with treating me bad. If they are going to be civil and well mannered, I will play nice with them... if not I smile and say \'got to go!\' and I don\'t spend time with them. It is their choice and I am fine either way. It used to hurt a lot to not have a well functioning family, but I guess I\'ve spent more of my life relying on just me now than having support, that I\'m OK without. Bit sad, but there\'s a lot worse out there I could be experiencing.

Try to let your dad be the cranky ol\' bugger he is (if he\'s anyhting like mine!), and nurture your love from yourself and with your husband :)
