New Years Day. I had promised to go away for two nights with an old friend  - the plans made many months ago. Once she arrived, I realised our lives had diverged quite a lot since we last met in August 2010. The holiday wasn't what I wanted it to be. My friend who is in her late 60s didn't want to go out and celebrate New Years Eve. In the end it turned out to be a bit of a let down. Last night I didn't feel very well and I went to bed resolved to ask if we could go back a day early.
She agreed and the hosts offered to refund the 2nd nights charges. To make up for the holiday that was cut short, I lent my car to my friend so she could visit with friends. Now we are both happy.
I started last year with a closed throat chakra. This year I am determined to be different. I feel there is potential in my friendship with Brian. But he is blowing hot and cold and I am not going to worry about it any more. I won't text him till he texts me. Let us see when that is given we are supposed to meet tomorrow evening.
I still don't feel well, so a bit worried about that. I have most of tomorrow to rest with more friends coming to stay on Thursday.
I am thankful that I have finally found an outlet for my creativity.

I am thankful I have a beautiful son
I am thankful my cat keeps me company
I am thankful that I can still walk even when I am in pain.
