it's ventarooni time.....

 
it's ventarooni time...........watch out.  wah wah poor me.
well, let's see........my car died in my garage.  not forever died,  temporarily out of service died.  that led to a visit from AAA and another one the next day.  it ended up needing a battery replacement, I am very glad it did not need an alternator or a starter.
when i pulled up to the car repair business my intent was to leave the car in park and ask if they wanted the car in a parking spot or if they would prefer to have it in front of a bay.  my gut knew the car would die completely once the engine stopped again.  i never got the chance........my car died then.  no more motorization, sigh.
employee Tiffni approaches and gives me a tongue lashing.  barks at me that i have created a safety hazard, tells me that in future i am to park my vehicle in a parking spot.  she is rude and abrasive.  because i was born yesterday I apparently require being spoken to in such a rude manner.  I don't have the sense God gave a billy goat.........heck I probably self sabotaged my own car into breaking down just so I could suffer the slings and arrows of Tiffni the Rude.  What do I know anyway?
when she stopped barking I said I was sorry, my car died, it was not my INTENT and it was beyond MY CONTROL that it had died right at that moment, but our miss tiffni is unimpressed with these facts.  in her army nothing is beyond control, everything is apparently perfect and if imperfection occurs she will zap it with weed killing venom out of her smart little harsh mouth.  i recapped that i was sorry, it was not my intent, that I did not understand why she was SO MAD, I came there for help, let's start over.......and get on the same page.  my tone?  soft, quiet......  she GLARED at me, she snapped, I AM HELPING YOU!!!!"  She said it loudly and with vervor, no sincerity at all, no warmth.  Line me up against the wall and just shoot me, no blindfold or cigarette for this prisoner. I said all I am asking for is some human kindness.  She clamped down even harder on her jaw........a bully with a lot of anger issues?  She did not look at me or say a word.
WHAT is going on in the world?  Are we at war on the seemingly quiet gentle suburban streets these days?  .....have we lost  manners, kindness......tact?  I know it's not all gone, just in the mood for drama cause it hurt my feelings.
They claimed that they only had the most expensive battery in stock and honestly I don't know if this is the truth or not.  This may be their form of additional payback for all I know.  Sigh........I was pretty much over the barrel, dead car, using my quad cane, not moving well.  When it rains it rains and rains and rains huh?
Later I went to get a polish change on my toes.........the color I picked out was I kid you not........wait for it:

today i thought call the manager, get it off your chest so you can let it go.  wow, the guy is cut from the same cloth as she is.  customer service at this location is pared down, not one extra syllable and it is false.  he said he was aware of what happened, backed Tiffni up 100%........then said ,"Sorry, I'll speak to her."  It was about as genuine as a box of rocks.  I asked him if this was the customer service policy of this company.  He said what do you expect me to do or say?  I said I would hope for and think that  you would know that I didn't plan for my car to die on that spot.  I would expect that  the safety concern could be expressed in a kinder way, not targeted as an object deserving of bullying behaviors by an employee.  That your company values my business, that while the information she barked at me was "correct" it was over the top, that it could have been tempered with humanity.  No one was hurt, there was nothing even close to an accident and in fact I parked behind a company vehicle unloading car parts............which had led to my confusion......thinking sitting there idling for a minute was not a problem and then my engine died.
am i being over the top? perhaps...........but this manager did not say anything when i finished my suggestions on how to keep my business.  I said OH dear........I see, you're all of the same opinion.  It is ok that she berated me, snapped at me and treated me rudely.  It is ok that she bullied and then spread this to the other employees so that during my wait individual employees stopped and gave me the look  (my Dad would have called it the stink eye)........this is a behavior that is not only acceptable but encouraged.......let's bully the disabled woman on the quad cane who can barely walk.  I think that is what hit the hardest and hurt the most.  I don't demand special treatment, I do think as individuals when we see someone struggling we can note it and offer a bit of assistance.  I am a person first and foremost,  as a person and then as a disabled person this company failed on many levels.  i have been the recipient of so many other  businesses who go above and  beyond  to extend kindness........if I had seen the sign saying we bully our patrons I would not have stopped.    What a world ......it can be gritty like sandpaper at times...........harsh and hard. 
Time to let it go..........take my business elsewhere and pray for God to help me forgive them and forgive me for what I am thinking...........no point in being a hater...........arghhhhhhhhh. 
i've done too much in the last few days and i am flatlining...............wore myself down to the nub.
poor poor pitiful me........was that a Linda Ronstadt song?  seems about right..........that's what i'm hearing in my head........lol, hugs. the end.  sparrow wallowing in her drama.........now off to beddy by.
