It's the 2nd anniversary of Smokey's death today.

It's the 2nd anniversary of Smokey's death today.  The morning is going to be tough as I will be alone.  The afternoon not so bad.  My friend Carol Simonson is picking me up at 11:30 a.m. and we are going to Ikea.  We both are looking for light fixtures. We will have lunch there as well.  Dave will be over after work at about 3:15 a.m. and I will spend the rest of the evening with him.  Like I said, the morning is going to be the hardest as I will be alone.  This too shall pass away.
I want to celebrate Smokey's life.  He was a good man and I had ten wonderful years to spend with him and share our lives together.  I miss the sparkle in his eyes.  His eyes would light up like Christmas lights when he saw me.  I knew I was loved.  We knew each other so well.  It did not take a long time for us to get to know one another.  It always amazed us when our anniversary would come up and we would say to one another that it seemed just like yesterday when we met.  Time had a way of flying by.  It always amazed both of us.  It was a mark of a great relationship.
Smokey was a grumpy old curmudgeon but he was my grumpy old curmudgeon. We would joke about it.  Smokey knew he was this way and twice a year he acknowledged that about himself.  He would buy me something lovely and admit he was this way but loved me deeply.  He was honest about himself.   He was happy that despite this about himself that I was with him.
There is much more to tell about my grumpy old curmudgeon named Smokey but this will do for ow.  Smokey you are missed deeply, madly and sincerely from your woman named Diane B.
