it's ok to be the way you are in the world

I was thinking about my failings yesterday

and it persisted through this morning - when I had

to pump myself up for work - and I relaxed as I got there early and got

motivated and did my work well.

I then came home...and just kind of had a sense

of humility about things - I ate, I showered and dressed,

played with Blue and thought about how so often I feel like

just an awkward non permission just to be myself

in the world. all the imperfection - strength and foibles

is it ok ?? - and

I just was reminded that indeed it was by something i watched

on the television.

I went and got coffee and just came home and relaxed some -

sinking into the couch - but I realize I've got to pump myself for

some kind of project today.

Being one’s own imperfect self is kinda essential to a sense of “inner peace.” How a person handles and deals with the imperfections as it relates to the world around them is what I think can be most hopeful and inspiring. Go easy on yourself today, Mark!

Whether I let it be okay or knot, do we really have a choice but to be our own imperfect selves in this world? It takes more than a metaphorical mask to turn a mouse into a tiger (or vice versa). However hard the mouse (or tiger) tries to believe its own deception, the world still sees its nature.

The meanest lies in the world are the ones we tell ourselves.

Bee you. Everybody else is taken.
