It's not easy... but I'm holding onto Hope.. still

Today he was out for a large part of the day in order to go to the social security office in town to take care of some paperwork. While I was nervous concerning how his visit to the ss office would turn out, still I enjoyed the time here alone. I think we needed some time apart to take a step back, and fully see what we're doing here together, and how much we truly want " us "  to work out.

Thankfully - Thank God - his visit turned out fairly well, and he made some good progress towards straightening things out with social security. He had been blustering quite a bit for several days about going out to the social security office, and what he would do if they didn't give him the answers he wanted to hear. I'm very thankful that he managed to keep his patience despite having to wait a long time just to actually sit down, and talk to someone. He will have to go back in a month for an appointment to finish the process needed to complete the changes / and corrections that he needs done.

After he got home this afternoon he was so exhausted from it all that he laid down for a nap. That was a little over two hours ago now, but I don't plan on waking him up.  I'll let him sleep as long as he wants to, because last night he was an angry beast towards me mostly due to exhaustion - I believe. I don't want that happening again tonight.

So I'm hoping that since he got some good news today from his visit to the social security office that he'll be in a much better mood about things from now on.
