it's cool outside.....morning!

It's cool this morning......Annie is on the counter waiting for me to command her to get down, an expression of defiance and guilt (she likes to nip the window plant babies).....she could have been an actress!  Cut & print!
I watched "The Wedding Gift" last night....a true story about a married couple in England.  The Mrs. got the flu or so they thought....after the flu, her symptoms got worse.  No one could diagnose her properly, no one knew the cause.  They came up with reasons like hysteria, blamed her mind, blamed her husband.  In truth they didn't know.
She suffered from black outs, extreme fatigue, memory problems, increasing paralysis, her hands turned into claw like grips with fingers that broke very easily.  She had to be carried everywhere, up and down the stairs of her home, was in a wheelchair most of the time.  At one doctor visit, her husband explained that it took her several days to have the strength to come see the doctor and it would take several more to recuperate once she returned home. (this went right over their heads) On another visit, a doctor talked about her to her mate as if she wasn't even in the room. She hadn't the strength to even dress herself....and on and on, her life had changed very dramatically.
Her dream was to walk down the aisle by herself on the day of her son's wedding....that was "the wedding gift" ...... to herself, to her family.  She had been practicing hard in preparation. I cried with every precious, painful step she took down that long aisle. That look of determination on her face was something to behold. The medical community finally realized in the aftermath of her accidental tub drowning that she had chronic fatigue syndrome/me. This woman was so very alive, so amazingly loving, bright, gifted with joy & honesty throughout her journey.....the dark days and in the reality of ordinary days.  She was extraordinary despite all the challenges and stone walls of doubt she encountered.
Annie has decided that I have had the footstool all to myself long enough...she is settling it right on top of my feet.   I don't mind, it's cool this morning and feels quite nice......here's to the magic that can be found in ordinary days.

Jeepers, I knew the way you were describing her symptoms, exactly what she had! How comz I am so smartz and doctorz iz so stupidz??? Huh?? Well, it\'s a terribly sad story, but one we can all relate to. I\'m so glad she walked down that isle! Can\'t ya just feel the joy she felt.

Maybe someday, someone, Lord willing, will care enough to really dig into this illness and rip the guts out of it and toss it to the wind!!

In the meantime, yes it is cool outside. It is the day that the Lord hath made....let us rejoice in it, Sparrow!

Firsy thank you for the nice hug you gave me while I was/am feeling like c---. You could have never fixed my do, it was beyond doing. I did day dram about the long talk with our toes in the pond. Kind of reminded me of a small pond we used to go to called the Turtle pond. I may have told you a story about that. I was young but old enough.

I did not see that movie but it sounds like a good one. While I was feeling so bad I watched a lot of chick flicks. I love to read to when I feel bad. It takes your mind off of your feelings. I will have to look up Deric Longden as your friend mentioned, always game for a new author

I have aq customer that is a nuse and she has been fighting pain for a year ansd was finally dianosed with Fibermyal.......(sp). They are trying to treat her with vitamins and acupuncture. Hopefully it will help. She is a breast cancer survivor so it was pretty scary for her thinking maybe it was back.

So you think it is cool there. We had a big frost last night and I was not happy, nor was I warm. Sorry can\'t sympathize with you.

I did get out in the yard and do a few things today, like palnt 16 Tulip bulbs I didn\'t need. Couldmn\'r pass up the bargain. Probably be dessert for some critter this winter.

Love those demanding Kitty\'s. Like the one who is cleaning my monitor as we speak. Hope you had a good week end. Love Naomi xo

Ohh, hey Annie, you lookin\' after yo\' mama? Sweet girl :)

Good ol\' hysteria! Apparently everything that was unexplainable with a woman in the 1950\'s could be diagnosed by a dumb ass male doctor as hysteria.

Don\'t you wonder that, nowadays, there aren\'t doctors who in turn suffer from the ailments and conditions we all do, and would have more \'punch\' in them being respectfully recognised and taken more seriously?
