It's a bittersweet symphony

It's now been 3 weeks since Tom passed away.  I have been able to function somewhat better between crying fits. I miss him so much, I can't stand it.
Yesterday morning, I was standing in the bathroom, crying...when the lights flickered.  This has happened at least one other time since he passed. Later on, as I approached the front door dreading the sound of nothing, the song 'Bittersweet Symphony' came on the radio...it brought me to tears all over again... The other day I was in the bathroom, crying...and a can of Febreeze just 'fell' off the counter. He always hated to see me cry.   Last night, I was having problems breathing...I have asthma and I'm a heavy smoker, so it's not unusual for me to go through this at night.  When I would fall asleep in my chair near the back door, where I was last night, Tom would get up and open the door for a blast of fresh air when I was having trouble.  Last night, I dreamed that I was suffocating, and then suddenly a feeling peace came over me as a voice said 'breathe'...I was able to breathe.  When I woke up, I noticed the back door was unlocked...I never ever leave that door unlocked...Then today, I went to call a cab, and the tv app on my phone appeared to engage by itself...I had trouble turning it off...
Either Tom is still watching over me, or my grief has driven me completely nuts...

LOL . . could be a combination of both! It depends on how you choose to view and perceive it. Tom or a case of the crazies? If I were you, I\'d go with the Tom theory. :) All jokes aside, I do believe that spirits still abide and live in our realm. Have you officially \"released\" him? Have you encouraged or given him permission to move on? If not, perhaps you should. Although he may be staying to help you, it is not his journey to walk here. His journey is beyond our realm of earth life. Perhaps you should give some thought to this?

I released Jim on his death bed, but was just saying earlier today that I feel this house is cursed and I\'m cursed as a result. If it\'s Jim\'s entity or spirit, it\'s not by my choosing to have him hanging around . . . and certainly if he\'s not gonna play nice. I will do another \"cleanse\" of the house soon. If it\'s not Jim, it\'s another prankster that needs to be set on his way. I\'m done with the \"crazies\".

Hope the above brought a smile to your face and at least know that you are not alone. Stranger things have happened.

Hugs to you, xo D

i Love your story because I firmly believe our husbands are watching over us. It is Tom\'s way of letting you know he is alright and by your side. The first night after Ron passed away I swear he was stroking my hair. It gave me comfort. I have felt bumps to my chair when I am all alone and call me crazy but I really believe they want us to know we are not completely alone. Hugs to you!
