It's 2 years on Nov. 15, 2009 and I am crying already
It's been two years on Nov. 15, 2009 when Smokey died and I am crying already.
Yesterday I could not figure out why I was crying so much. The light bulb opened up my brain. I am still grieving the loss of my husband. It's not easy no matter what else is going on in my life. Smokey was the love of my life.
What do all those on Daily Strength think? Is there more soul mate for us in this life or not? I do not know. I am hoping there is after the loss of my Smokey. I am hoping that there might be another for me but than again I am hoping to win the lotto and you know what the odds of that happening especially since I don't buy the tickets. It is something to think about and discuss. It's an interesting concept at best.
I have no answers. If I did, I would not be asking these questions. My friend in Osoyoos who left her husband is reading a book about Soulmates. I lost my paper on the title and will have to ask her the name of it. I would like to read it myself.
Tyson is coming over around noon. Lisa is getting her hair done probably for the wedding she and Grant are going to next week. I love babysitting Tyson and it gets me out of my misery to say the least.
These are just my thoughts and opinions. You have your own as well.
If I do find someone else, I am hoping to meet a widower. This way we can talk about our losses and have something in common. People don't understand if they have not walked a mile in our shoes. A lot of people have not lost anyone through death, which surprises me. I have had to deal with the death of people since I was a child just before the age of 3 when my own dad died. It has continued ever since for me.
I hope everyone has a great and wonderful day from Diane B.

I think there is a part of us that never completely stops grieving...my Aunt is almost 80 years old, has been a widow for close to 20 years, and there are still days she misses her husband & cries for what was lost...her mate, their dreams, their plans....she found a new love in the early years after becoming a widow, but her grown-&-married-with-2-kids daughter objected to it, so she broke it off with the gentleman. She told me when I was trying to decide whether or not to pursue the relationship with Joe that was the one thing she has regretted all these years...that she did not give herself the chance to build a life with someone new...she said she \"got used\" to being alone, but she regrets making that choice to toss away the chance to love again just to please her daughter...
As for soul-mates, I\'m not sure I believe in them, per se...I DO believe Snake & I were chosen for each other by God, that it was part of His Divine Plan for us to be together...but I also believe that God brought Joe & me together, to love one another & build a new life, to share our later years together, as another part of His Divine Plan. (I think the fact that both of us were widowed has certainly made it easier for us, because we know what the other is going through) Why didn\'t God\'s plan include each of us growing old with our dearly departed spouse?...I don\'t know, will never know in this life, but I DO know that God\'s ways are higher than my ways, & His wisdom is far, far greater than mine & He knows what is best...so, I just try to relax & trust Him...He knows what He\'s doing...
I wish you all the best, today & every day...
Blessings & Hugs, ~E~
I only hope I eventually stop crying on/near the anniversary of Smokey\'s death. I eventually did stop crying on the anniversary date of my late-mom\'s death. It is all good.
God knows what he is doing with our lives. If God has another man for me great, if not He knows what he is doing with the life he blessed me with.
How are you and Joe doing? Good I hope.
Yes, we\'re doing good...we have our \"ups & downs\" just like any other couple, but nothing serious...just the normal little irritations & annoyances that we all encounter with others in the course of living life...lol...for the most part we get along quite peacefully on a day to day basis, more so than Snake & I did...Snake\'s temper had a short-fuse, & I\'m easily annoyed, so we clashed often...hardly a day passed without some sort of flare-up, usually quite minor & short-lived, but for us that was just how it was...Joseph is much calmer...lol...
My little sister has been gone 12 years, my Grandmother that raised me, 24 years...I still cry on the anniversaries of their deaths...I cried on Snake\'s birthday just a couple weeks ago, it was his second since he died....I think it\'s just a testimony to the depth of our relationships with those we love...
