it never ends
last night I kind of unraveled - and exposed my underbelly and it destroyed my sense of center.
I kept to my regular schedule of watching the shows I normally watch - and though I liked them
I felt kind of detached - went out this morning got a coffee - and still not better.
I wrote about finding inspiration from a book on Coach Wooden by Kareem Abdul Jabbar -
and I feel as though I have become obsessed "in the way" of things. Thank god I am not too religious...
I just have to keep going and deal with the day - though I feel kind of detached.. and just flawed
Writing here in the journal helps me 'get it out' but I think for people like us - we'd gladly trade for
a more stabile, predictable and promising life.

i want to find something that I can do that I can take self satisfaction from, something that will give me a sense of accomplishment and esteem, when my labile inconsistent sense of self robs
me of my confidence and peace and center. I know that we all don't live in a place of peace. I just need to somehow make this craziness of discomfort into something that can motivate me to attack another day.
Finding *it* is hard I know Mark. But if anyone can find it, its you x
thank you ruby!!!
Mark you are a really good writer! Very expressive and insightful. Have you ever thought about taking a writing or poetry class? Keep digging because like Ruby said, you of anyone are bound to discover great things.
thanks so much Sensitive!!
the same kind of dynamic occurred to me today in a different form. They say history doesn't repeat but it rhymes. That for sure is true. I went to work and floods of things picking away at me came too me while I worked- I kind of realized it was coming from a place where I needed to be validated - or wanted to be.
I just accepted that idea and felt calm. The day itself was so so...kind of looked forward to creating something outside of work that would be about skill and craft. I get it. Work is over and now, it's time to make something good.
Put on a different hat when you leave work, and I'm sure some cool projects will come your way...
thanks :)
really noticing how momentary disappointments can knock me off kilter. Just ate some cookies too...holy cow is sugar toxic!
I'm sure you will come up with something to do eventually. Writing was an excellent suggestion. You do express yourself really well with words.
thanks becky!
