It knocks me around a lot
My illness knocks me around a lot during the day and to remain sociable it takes a lot of processing still. It feels like it’s destroying my insides. I want to have aspirations and goals. Perhaps I should make lists to help remind me of what those are. The day tires me out so much but even so maybe I should still make goals. I can triumph. I hope you guys are having a good day. About to take my meds and bed down. Peace and good vibes. , Mark

Hang in there
I doesn't know but I increasingly believe the greatest goals are accomplished within the framework of my current life rather than an interruption of my current life. A goal and corresponding lists one of my support group sponsors suggested for me during a conversation down this lane was:
Goal: Self-love
Lists:
1) Triumphs, big or small, which I accomplish today. Be sure to include each time I stayed on course, in spite of my illness.
2) Acts of compassion. Was I able to offer small comforts and/or gentle smiles to others, in spite of my pain?
3) Making the world a better place. Did I pick up that piece of litter instead of walking by and/or complaining about it?
I didn't take this wise woman's suggestion at the time. I was not ready to love somebody as damaged as myself, but the seed grew some powerful healing fruits which I am still chewing.
And I doesn't know why I am telling you this. . . Farts coming out the wrong end again, I reckon. That's been happening allot lately. That ol' foot-in-mouth disease gets me almost as often as my control freakitis.
I have learned to do what I want to do not what I "should" do. It has given me much more peace. When I was younger I always thought I should be doing this or that and learned that's just a lie I told myself. Maybe you can try to just relax and write down what you want to do, not what someone else or you have told you what you should do.
thanks Arfie! thanks becky!!
