it carries on...
thank you all my dear friends, for your great support. pappa is not doing well, he has now developed pneumonia. i just cant believe how doctors can be - "oh its no big deal really, we just drill 2 holes in the skull and drain the blood", they say. my mouth like fell wide open. i was like, did i hear that right? he's 89 years old, and they're drilling holes into his brain! he's having brain surgery at this age! he is fragile and blah blah blah, i just cant believe it. well, he had it done. he did seem a little more alert as they had drained blood out, but its such a disaster, the pneumonia, the deterioration, the loss of functioning. oh well, life still pulls us in all directions at all times. jarod was chosen for the soccer team - he's SO EXCITED!! he's only 9 and the first time he's been in a team. the first match was played yesterday and they lost. some of the kids were crying it was so cute. jarod looked like a real little champ, and the coach loves him.today they played their second match, and they WON! and jarod scored a goal !! much excitement. of course being run down down with the other stress, i now have a bladder infection - debilitatingly painful for me, so i rested all afternoon and didnt go see pappa today. i feel so guilty. i know everyone says we have to take care of ourselves FIRST, and that is what i'm doing, but i think it looks bad and i feel so guilty

Aww, Janice, I will keep your \"Pappa\" in my thoughts and prayers. Wish that there were something more I could do. Good for your boy! I always loved to go to my boys Baseball games. He never played soccer. But he loved Baseball and when he made his first All Star team! Oh how excieted we were! Enjoy, Jarod and be his loudest cheerleader! Don\'t feel guilty, you are only human and need the rest. DGAF(I\'ll share later what that means-I just met you after all and don\'t want you to be offended;) about what others think. Take care of yourself so you can take care of your family...Love, Analisa
Don\'t suck any more guilt, you are doing the best that you can.

Sorry about your papa. I bet it is hard to see him deteriotate. Try to stay positive and give it to god. He will take care of him for you.
I am so happy for Jaord, I hope he will do good with soccer. That will be a great active sport for him. Take care of yourself and I hope your bladder infection clears up soo. Big Hugs Kelly
Well done to Jarod! Frazer loved soccer too. Try not to feel guilty (I know that\'s easier said than done) you ALWAYS do your best and you give so much of yourself to everyone. I know in my heart that Pappa knows this too, as does everyone who knows you. Big hugs, Charlotte. xo
Sorry to hear about your dad. It\'s always been so surreal to me to see what the human body can endure like in your dads case, yet it\'s so fragile in others. Congrats to Jarod. Hang in there. Love to you. Robin
You can only do what you can. Hey Jarod. I\'ll keep your family in the prayers Love and hugs Cathy
